Boys will be boys...

My boys just make me laugh...Boys will be boys. NO! I did not teach them and I do not encourage them to eat with their toes!

Spring Break

We had a lot of fun during Spring Break. Nathan's cousin Ken and his wife Apryl and their kids came on up and visited us for a few day. Our kids had a blast playing together. We also had a lot of fun getting out of the house and going on hikes, seeing Montezuma Wells and Castle, and Out of Africa. It was a fun break.

Birthday time!

Yes I know this post is late...Better late then never. Please ignore the picture spacing...blogger wont let me fix it.

We have had some birthdays!

Aiden celebrated his third birthday in March. I can't believe he is three already. He has gotten big so fast. He is able to do anything and everything Cameron does and he loves it. Cameron----not so much but he deals with it. Aiden is so proud of himself. He can now spell and write his name. He loves to ride his big boy bike and play pretend with his trains and cars. It is fun to listen to him play pretend...he can come up with some of the most silly stories. Aiden loves to sing! He is singing all day long. Sometimes he will make up silly songs, other times he will sing songs he knows. My most favorite song that he will sing almost all day long is, "I Am a Child of God." He will sing this in the store, park, home and he will even sing it to himself when it is bedtime and he knows he should stay in bed.

Cameron turned the big "5" in April!! He is so excited to start kindergarten in the fall. Cameron has been in love with school. He loves to learn new subjects. His teacher Ms. Ruth absolutely loves him. Recently Cameron has taken a huge interest in math. Our morning conversations during breakfast is Cameron asking what 8+8, 16+16, 32+32, 64+64, 128+128 is. He can go from 0 on up to 4 when adding the numbers together and sometime he gets past the 8. But after that he likes to test our brains to see if they are working so early in the morning. Cameron loves to look at books and read the pictures. He is also loving to put a whole bunch of letters together and ask me what they spell. Cameron is going to LOVE kindergarten this year. I can't wait to see where this new adventure will take him.

Happy birthday boys! Mom and Dad are so proud of you. You both have grown up so fast! You are both learning new things every day. It has been so much fun to watch you explore the world around you.

It is so cold! BUT...

It is really cold today in Prescott Valley! We have some fog and we have had some light snow flurries. But the frost is so pretty! This is what I got to wake up to this morning. I hope everyone has a great day! :)

How long will it last?

It is snowing...It has snowed before but it only stayed on the ground for a day before it melted. Nathan would LOVE for it to snow a ton! He loves to play in the snow and has been dying to use the sled we bought in Utah last year. But, it did not snow enough for him to use is. So the question is how much will we get and how long will it stick?

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

We got a new bird!!! Her name is Shorty. The boys love her! Nothing has happened to our other bird Stubby. We just thought she would like a companion...

Honestly the bird is NOT our big news!!! :) This is our BIG NEWS!!
We will be welcoming this new little guy to our family sometime at the very end of May or the very beginning of June! We are all really excited!!!

Good Bye 2012!!!

Where has the time gone! 2012 was over in a blink of an eye! Our family has gone through a lot of changes since Jan 2012. It has been amazing to see how much we have overcome and to see where we are now. We have been truly blessed!

Lets take a look back at 2012.

Our craziness all began Dec 29, 2011. Nathan was in his third and final year of pharmacy school! We both couldn't wait for him to be done. With the end of the school year soon approaching we decided we needed to apply to 13 different residency programs.
These 11 envelopes plus two online applications are part of the reasons why this year has been so much fun! By the middle of January we knew where our first trip would take us. Our first stop was California. Nathan was able to get 2 interviews with two different residency programs there. So February 8th we loaded up the car  and took off. The boys weren't quite sure what to think of our trip.
But they loved the train museum!
We got to see the Sacramento, California temple.
The boys had a ton of fun at Chuck E' Cheese!
Finally after six days of craziness and fun we were on our way home!
But we were not home for more then two days before Nathan got a call to interview for a residency program in Nevada. We loaded the car up once again on Feb 22nd and headed out. The boys once again had fun at Chuck E'Cheese.
By the end of our trip this is how we all felt!
Unfortunately Nathan did not get a job with any of the residency programs he applied for. But that is okay. The Lord had a better plan for us.

After our busy February it was nice to kick back and have fun celebrating Aiden's 2nd birthday on March 11th. I think he had a great day! I can't believe how fast time flies! Aiden really likes Curious George, so he had a Curious George themed day. :)

In April, we got to quietly celebrate Cameron's 4th birthday. Cameron LOVES Angry Birds!!!

Nathan had some time off in April, so we decided to visit one of our favorite places, The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, UT.

Relaxing and having fun. :)

May was a bitter-sweet month. The sad part, we had to say good-bye to a very dear friend. This is Shirley, Cameron's bus driver. She was always watching out for Cameron and LOVED him to pieces. She made going to school the best part of his day and she always took the time to let Aiden know that he was just as special to her as Cameron was. A few months before this picture was taken she turned into our guardian angel. She was in our area picking up another little boy on a day that Cameron did not have school. She spotted Cameron just wondering around without Nathan or I and knew something was not right! She safely got Cameron on the bus and took him back to our apartment, where Nathan was frantically looking for him. What had happened was Nathan had the day off so I wanted to quickly run to the store. I told Cameron where I was going and asked whether or not he wanted to come. He told me "no" so I let Nathan know where I was going and that Cameron was staying home. After I drove off Cameron must of changed his mind and got out of the apartment without Nathan knowing. Needless to say we are very grateful to Shirley and her sharp eye. We now keep the chain locked on our door when we are home, not just the deadbolt!

Now for the happy part of May! Nathan finished school!!! We are so happy to have school over and done with!! Nathan and I got to attend his graduation banquet. It was a lot of fun to get out and have some fun together!

June was an AWESOME month yet it was very stressful! Lets start off by saying Nathan GRADUATED!!! It was so awesome! I am so proud of him and for all that he has accomplished!
Shortly after graduation we packed up our apartment and moved to Arizona. Nathan had done several phone interviews with different places in Arizona a few months back but he hadn't heard back from any of them. But we felt Arizona was the place we needed to be. Nathan's Grandma Clement offered her house for us to stay in while we figured out what we were going to do.

July was a huge month change! Within a week of being in Arizona Nathan got a call from Albertsons wanting to do an in-person interview. Less then an hour after that interview Nathan was offered a pharmacist job in Prescott Valley, AZ. What a blessing! We went to the Clement family reunion and had a lot of fun with family that we had not seen in a long time. Nathan was also able to pass all of his tests with flying colors to be able to get his Arizona pharmacy licence. Nathan flew out on July 14th to attend training in Texas. While he was in Texas the boys and I stayed with Nathan's parents. While Nathan was out of town I was able to get a house that Nathan and I really liked rented! All we had to do when he came back into town was to move all of our stuff into that house. Nathan flew in on a Thursday and since he had to go to the pharmacy on Friday we quickly ran back to Grandma's house to get him some work clothes. It was late so we decided to go back to his parents house where the boys were sleeping. Nathan wanted to see the boys too. After work on Friday we made final arrangements to make sure we could move into the house the following day. Saturday when we went to go pack our stuff up at Grandma's house we discovered that it had been broken into. Thankfully they did not take any of our important papers but they did manage to get some of our electronics. I am just grateful that my family was safe and protected! We did manage to move in to the house but it was not until very late that night. We are so grateful for all who were able to help us!

August, Cameron started school. He seems to really like it. I honestly can't believe this is his last year of preschool! This year (2013-2014) he will start kindergarten. YIKES!!! Sorry for no pictures. The thieves that broke into Grandma's house took my camera. GRRRRRR!

September, Cameron started soccer. He really did not enjoy the game. But he loved the fact that he got a uniform, he was #4, and loved kicking the ball all over the place in his free time.

Silly boys. :)

October was lots of fun! We got to celebrate Nathan's bday! He turned 29!!! Nathan really wanted an ice cream cake.

For Halloween, Cameron was Link from the video game Zelda. He LOVES watching Nathan and Grandpa M play it! And Aiden was Po from Kung Fu Panda. He was tuckered out from an evening of trunk or treating!

In November we were able to welcome home Nathan's brother Josh. Josh came home from serving a mission in the Philippines. He came home the day before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was filled with lots of fun and visiting with family! (sorry no pictures I forgot the camera).

December was a roller coaster month. Both Cameron and Aiden ended up with pneumonia that brought back their asthma. The poor boys were both sick for almost 2 1/2 weeks. Thankfully they started feeling better the week before Christmas! Unfortunately the Friday before Christmas we got word that Nathan's grandma (Grandma Clement) was in hospice because of pneumonia and was not expected to live for very long. We packed up the car right after Nathan got off of work and headed down to Phoenix. Grandma C. passed away in the early morning of Dec 26. Thank you Grandma C for all your love and support. You have taught us many valuable lessons and we will greatly miss you!

2012 was a very crazy busy year!!! We hope 2013 will be a fun year filled with lots of adventures! We also pray and hope that all our family and friends will have an awesome and fun filled 2013!
